Late Fall, 1999
The finished product on a fine fall day, November 1, 1999, a little over
a year after construction was finished. The major plantings have
been in for a year. Marigolds dominate the fall color, although the
Japanese bloodgrass is making a fine showing (red, lower left). The
redwood accents on the deck have faded considerably. Although it
has been treated twice with Cabot's clear solution, the ineffable coral
pink of raw redwood (see Phase 1 Construction)
is nearly impossible to maintain.
